Change up!

When my weight workout approaches on Thursday I am planning on making a small change that will hopefully result in BIG changes. I am going to take leg press out of the workout and do regular squats instead. I think regular squats will work out more muscles and help my vertical jump out better. The last time I squatted was when I fractured my vertebrae so I am a little nervous to squat again. I think once I start doing squat again I will see better progress in my vertical jump training. Week 4 starts tomorrow and I am going to do my best to get a video put up no matter how good I am jumping. If anyone has any advice or opinions please post them!!

    to answer your question i can now dunk a volleyball on 10 feet
    and regarding your post, i felt that the leg press seemed to work better than squats for me
    probably is different for different ppl

  2. Nice!! I could dunk 9'10 before starting the jump manual but I could not dunk it last night and I was well rested and feeling good. Starting my 4th week and have had no gains on running vertical. Im thinking about doing squats the first 4 sets and then doing the 5 set on the leg press so I can go to failure without the need of a spotter.

  3. the squats usally helps with strength more, while the plyo workouts will help your running
    thats what it was like for me
    i am the same height and have the same reach as you except i am 15 (i'm asian(chinese) too :)

  4. I just hope I start seeing gains soon!! Dang that's good that you can dunk a volleyball and your my size but only 15!!! How long have you done the jump manual and what were your gains?

  6. i did it for 6 weeks and gained around 6 inches
    if your patient and u do everything right (nutrition, etc) the results are sure to come
    flexibility helps alot and junk food will impair our gains
    so are you going to grade 12 next yr?

  7. Did you drink protein shakes during those 6 weeks? Do you know what your current standing and running verticals are? Yes, I am going in to grade 12

  8. i actually drank chocolate milk and a protein bar
    my standing vert is around 26 inches and my running is around 32 inches
    also to dunk a basketball you do not need to get your whole hand over in your post little motivation you seem to have enough to maybe dunk a volleyball, but u gotta work on timing and takeoff point, etc

  9. I have been drinking whey protein shakes everday like Jacob recommended. I can dunk a football at 10' but that is about it. I planned on testing my vertical yesterday but ended up playing basketball games instead. Kind of scared to test since I have seen no gains in past weeks. Do you have any videos of you dunking?

  10. dont just drink once, drink several times a day
    its very normal to gain inches on and off, the first two weeks i only gained half an inch then the gains started coming
    when u say football do you mean soccer ball (are you american btw?)
    i dont have a video but will post one when i dunk a basketball

  11. I will start drinking 3 a day now. I can dunk an American football because I can hang on to it good. Looking forward to your video
